I am bad but I feel bad

I don’t like giving up. If I have the chance to change some things in life that I don’t like, why not? Even if it’ll take a million of your strength, the chance is there for you to change it! Personally, if there is a chance, I’ll grab it and use it as much as I can to make myself a little happier.

There’s nothing wrong in making myself happier, right? I may be labelled as a bitch for doing this, but my tolerance have hit max. I just want to live the life I want.

Troubles, problems and the cumbersome process will definitely be there. Where is the feeling of worthwhile without all that?

To you, I’m sorry.

Hello Brisbane once again

Time flies and it’s back to Brisbane once again…

Departure was great with my family sending me off. <3 I had tears in my eyes but I didn’t want to show. LOL. It’s always sad when leaving home…

 ♥♥♥

Right now in Brisbane, busy finding new tenants for my current unit. It’s tough when the unit is so lousy and the rental is so high. The landlady said that we have to increase the rent for the new tenants. Although we have few people coming in to inspect the unit, none of them seems interested! :(

Well, hopefully we’re able to keep this up since sem is starting in a few days time.

Oh and today I went back to UQ for the first time after 3 months for the UQ Market Day. A day when all the clubs and societies will have their booth on display and a day when there are lots of discounts and free things to get. There were soooooooooooooooooo many angmohs there. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many angmoh students gathered like that before in UQ.

I also managed to join a couple of clubs. The Korean society club (hehe~) and some church club (which my hsemate forced me to join because she joined Korean club for me). I don’t know about the church club, but yay~~ Korean club!! I wonder what’s gonna be in store for me in the future regarding this club. :)

Besides exploring the booths in UQ, we also went to one of the biggest lib in UQ and wow~ they actually changed all the computers to Mac pc. The screens are huge and the keyboards are cool. Some parts of the library were renovated as well, providing a very nice and conducive environment to study. Boost of motivation? Definitely! LOL…

Will show you guys photos if I managed to take them.

Just two more days till departure for Aus

This holiday has been such a blast! Hanging out with close friends, going for overseas vacation and enjoying the Kpop wave in SG.

Last night I just went to the Bong Bong noraebang with KH! FINALLY we got the chance to go and experience Korean karaokes. IT WAS HEAVENLY. HEAVEN HEAVEN HEAVEN. Whatever Kpop songs I want, it just appears. It has all of DBSK’s Korean songs!! I want to see all of them so much, but due to time constraint, I could only select my favourites. I also had sooo much fun singing FT Island’s songs. FT Island songs are easy to sing because it’s just one person singing and the melodies are so nice. Too bad all the songs don’t have their original MV to it. The background video is some old and random performances of other Kpop celebs. But DBSK songs have their old performance of “HUG” as the background video. And that same performance is used for all their songs. Well, at least I can see their faces. Lol.

But the noraebang is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo expensive. It’s much more expensive than I thought!! It would’ve have been cheaper if more people came because the rate is per room and hour.

Singing a DBSK song! :D

Big thanks to KH for suggesting to go to noraebang after our study Korean session. Hahaha. We can only do this again 10 months later… damn that’s long. I wanna sing more songs! I have so many songs to sing man…

Well, moving on. I went to visit my “long-lost” uncle in Kulai, Msia on 初三! I didn’t know he was living in the same town as LY! Too bad didn’t make early arrangements so that I can go to her house for visiting.

IMG_2213 US! At “Hua guo shan” in Msia. :)

And speaking of LY… MS, KH and I sent her off to Canberra on Wed (17/2). Our holidays are ending and school is just round the corner! Well, very soon I will see her again in July in Bris Bris Bris Brissy~~!!! :D

Oh yes. You know how our 1st hotel in BKK was so luxurious? Apparently FT Island were pretty impressed by the hotel as well. They stayed in the most luxurious suite. I know because they recorded their own video during their stay in BKK. Well, more specifically, it’s only the two magnaes(youngest) of the group who did it- Seunghyun and Minhwan. SH being the actor while MH, the director. LOL.

Watch it here! SH and his Engrish~ XD

My favourite episode of all:

SH is such a dork! HAHA~ He’s soooo his age. LOL.

Happy Lunar New Year ~~

It’s CHU YI today! 新年快乐!새해 복 많이 받으세요!

The new-year feeling this year round is pretty toned down as compared to previous years. Perhaps it’s because of my busy-ness (Taiwan, Thailand) and having the thought of returning back to Aus behind my mind.

But it seems my “earnings” this year might be a little higher than before! Hehe… We’ll see after CHU SAN. :D

Well doesn’t time flies… In exactly a week’s time, I’ll be back to reality- study, get busy and get serious again! I’m actually looking forward to starting new modules (expected much? :P) and that means I’m looking forward to being back in UQ again! Thinking back, I kinda like the uni life (in Aus). But those smaller details like effing limited internet bandwidth (it’s actually a LARGE STUPID DETAIL), pathetic rented place, staying with a non-family for a long time and other nitty gritty stuff can be a little frustrating…

Luckily I love Uni. :)

Anyways, it seems the Snake zodiac ain’t gonna have a very smooth sailing Tiger year as compared to the Cow year. Well, that’s according to most readings and predictions on webby/fengshui masters/whatever/whoever. I’ve never taken these readings seriously before… so yeah. :P

Have a great lunar new year ahead~~!!!

Five Treasures, One Golden Memory and some shopping madness!

The 4 days and 3 nights (6th Feb – 9th Feb ‘10) stay in Bangkok was just craziness! Positive craziness!
H80.6947659_1_1
Five Treasures- Having to meet FT Island for the 3rd time is just insane. First in their SG Showcase, second in Seoul’d Out Fest and the third time round, a full-blown concert in Bangkok! The concert was just amazingly awesome. Besides the one golden memory that made it amazing, the rest was superb as well! I wish the concert could be longer… It was really short, ending in just 2 hrs.
What about the golden memory? It’s just one memory I never ever ever ever want to forget!! In Seoul’d Out Fest, I decided to make a fan board for my favourite member in FTI, Seunghyun. It turned out rather disastrous since it was my first time. The alphabets were not pasted properly and I got to admit the whole thing just seemed flimsy. x_x”
So i learnt from my mistake and made a much sturdier and better decorated fan board for the concert in BKK. I also decided to make this fan board very very exclusive for SH so I added the slogan from his variety show, Idol Magnae Rebellion.
IMG_2127 In Korean, “ji-geum-myut-shi?”, in English “what time is it now?”
IMG_2128On the other side of the board is his name, Song Seunghyun. :)
Where we were standing was very near the extended stage and also I managed to be in SH’s line of sight when he looks straight even though we weren’t very near the main stage. Like the photo below… That’s SH!
IMG_2113 Sorry it’s super blur. Somehow I couldn’t get my camera to focus and there were guards around so I just took a quick shot.
Here’s my photo where you can see the extended stage there. We were super near to it.
IMG_2126
When the concert started, I will occasionally raise my fan board alternating between SH’s name and the slogan. I think my board was pretty obvious and isolated because there were not a lot of people with fan boards around me. Not like the middle part of the standing area where a few boards huddled together (for lead vocal Hongki of course). Well, in a way I was thankful for that because my board would attract all of SH’s attention. LOL. :P
Oh and I was asked twice to put down my fan board… XO Damn embarrassing!! I guess I was blocking the people behind me for putting my board up too often. First time a Thai fan came to me speaking in Thai and pointing at the board, I was like huh??? But I could roughly guessed what she was trying to say. The 2nd time I was asked to put down by a security guard. =.=” Stupid. And that time it was SH’s rapping part so he was looking straight and probably saw the whole thing. I was soooo embarrassed. Anyways after that I didn’t put it up so often…
BUT oh man… The best best bestest part to put up my fan board was during SH’s solo perf!! He danced and sang at the main stage at first then when he slowly approached the extended stage I started lifting my board. After dancing for awhile in the center of the stage, he came to our corner (as seen in the photo above). I showed him the “What time is it now?” side and guess what?! He looked at me IN THE EYE and mouthed “mak-ban-shi” with his 5 fingers extended out!! XD XD XD XD
In the variety show, when they shout “ji-geum-myut-shi?” the answer that follows is “mak-ban-shi”!!
Here’s a video of how the slogan came about: The part is at 6:51.
If you think it’s too long to load the vid, then check out the vid below.
The part is at 0:44.
And from this video, SH loves overseas support of mak-ban-shi~

OMG… Seunghyun is so awesome!! My efforts in making the board totally paid off! And you know, that time we were so near to the stage, we were just 1m away from it. SH was just right in front of us. JUST THERE and he responded to me. At that time, I was soooo mad happy I had tears in my eyes. Lol. I love him more and more. :P
I couldn’t sleep well that night because I kept thinking of SH and our eye contact, then his cute "mak-ban-shi” add-on to his solo. XD ♥
It’s too bad I’ve yet to find a fancam of his solo perf. :( Security guards were so strict that time. I didn’t even have enough chances to take proper photos. Anyways this memory will forever be etched in my mind!
Here are some of my lousy photos from the concert.
IMG_2116 IMG_2118IMG_2117  ^Another blurry photo of SH
Anyways, I didn’t really stalk them even though we were staying in the same hotel as FTI. The hotel we stayed in for the first night was part of the overseas fan package for the concert and it’s a freaking luxurious 5-star hotel. It’s called Pan Pacific Serviced Suites.
We stayed in the least luxurious room of the hotel- the Studio room. But it was still pretty lavished to us.

IMG_2109
It was heavenly, staying in that hotel. Nice bath tub, soft king-sized bed, huge flat screen TV, very modernised kitchen area with all cutleries provided and soft comfy home slippers! I miss the hotel~
But on the 2nd day of our trip we had to check out and move to another hotel. Because if we were to extend our stay in Pan Pacific, it’s gonna burn our pockets big time. We moved to a 3-star hotel after that. :( SUCH A BIG DIFFERENCE!!! XO
We stayed in The Ecotel for the rest of our trip. The location of the hotel really sucks. Even though it’s a good 20 to 30mins walk from the hotel to shopping centres, it’s located in a very ulu area where we have to walk past dirty alleys to reach it. Most of the time we took taxi to and fro.
We also took the tutu car once for the experience. It was quite fun but more costly than cab fares so once was enough for us.
Anyways the rest of the days we just shopped and shopped and shopped. We went to places like chatuchak, platinum mall, suan lum night bazaar, central world, siam square and siam center. Our favourite shopping spot is definitely platinum mall. There are soooo many clothes, accessories, bags, shoes and whatever in the mall. And they are very very cheap!
Besides shopping, we also went for manicure/pedicure. Just in time for CNY! :) Hopefully the manicure can last till then. Haha~
We shopped like crazy until the last day, we didn’t have enough cash on us. :/ LL had to change her 20SGD for our cab fare… We were so pathetic then.
In any case, it was a very fruitful and awesome trip!!

All that craziness

So many happenings recently. I want to blog about everything… but I’m too lazy to. X)

Korean boy group SHINee and boyband FT Island came to SG last week. It sure was a chaotic week for Kpop fans especially since SHINee was here. I saw both groups upclose! Although me seeing FTI wasn’t intentional. I hadn’t plan to see them in SG but in Bangkok instead. Anyways, I followed SHINee for 2 days during their 5 days stay in SG. :P

I managed to see them really upclose which is like super awesome! I mean they are part of SME which is a management company (DBSK is part of it too) that never sends their artistes to SG until last week! That’s why SHINee’s fansign was an absolute chaos as well. Kpop fans (like us) really wanted to see them so bad. There is just too much to say here… Just know I thought I was gonna die that day!! Scary shit.

There were lots of SHINee and FTI moments while we were following them. Like how SHINee’s Taemin was the only one who smiled as us (rather apologetically) when we were waving at them from outside their mini-bus. And also, while we were in the taxi beside SHINee’s van, we put our handwritten note on the taxi window for them to read. Taemin was somehow hand signalling something to us but we had no idea what he was trying to say until Grace (fellow stalker) realised the note we showed to him was UPSIDE DOWN!! But it was too late when we realised it because he closed the curtains in the van. WE WERE SO EMBARRASSED and DISAPPOINTED AT OURSELVES! But it sure was funny… LOL.

Plus! When we saw FTI, Seunghyun made the “mag-ban-shi” hand signal when he saw the note “what time is it now?” (in Korean). The note was made (last minute) by one of the fans who we were together with. SH is sooo cute <3

Although we were not able to see SHINee during the fansign, we were still able to see them upclose and that’s really awesome already!

Here’s my “stalker” video of SHINee. They were leaving the hotel for Esplanade.

TOMORROW!!! FT Island Concert in Bangkok!! <3 Can’t wait~

Till then peeps!

Taiwan Trip was FUN-tastic!

After my trip to Taiwan with my family from 19/01 to 26/01, the impression I have of this Chinese-speaking country is the extensive shopping leisure it can provide and the numerous food stalls along the streets of Taipei. No doubt, one will not starve or have too much money while walking through popular places like ximending, jiufen, taipei101, wulai, wufenpu and shilin night market.

Thanks to my cousin’s Taiwanese friends, we were able to experience the local culture- like eating various kinds of food that we don’t normally eat in SG. We tried smelly(fermented) tofu, duck’s heart (my favourite street snack!), fried oyster eggs, pig blood, intestines and some others. We also visited the house of my cousin’s friend which is really cool to see how the locals lived!

Then we got to know little yellow (direct translation for ‘小黄’) who is the niece of my cousin’s friend. She’s sooooooo cute!! We had lots of fun playing with her while on our tour trip!

IMGP3313

I love how the shops in Taiwan closes as late as 12 midnight! Lian, sista and I shopped at ximending every night during our stay in TW because our hotel is located right at there! We bought lotsa accessories and other little stuffs. I managed to buy a few winter clothes for my stay in Aus. I bought two winter coats, one was pretty expensive and the other was dirt cheap!

Oh and we drank lots of bubble milk tea over there! During meals and while shopping, we can just grab a cup anytime. The milk tea tastes awesome in TW. I came back to SG and tried each-a-cup’s milk tea and couldn’t finish it. Horrible!!

Anyways, the things sold in TW are so pretty and nice… Every time we enter a shop, it’s difficult to come out empty handed. No wonder we went to TW with two luggages and came back with 5 (3 additional smaller bags).

The elders (especially our uncles) kept complaining about our shopping! Wherever we go, we buy. Which is kinda true… but that’s part of being on vacation right? :P

Shopping in TW is awesome… but it sure takes awhile to get use to the not-so-clean environment.
